The Romance Found In a Backyard Garden Structure

So, you've been on a few casual dates in the past couple of weeks. You really feel like you've hit it off with this other person, and you want to do something special for your next time together. You want to invite your date over to your house, but you're unsure if that's a good idea. After all, a house is just a house, and perhaps inviting that special person to your place is a bit unoriginal. You like this person, and you want to make a good impression. So, what is a good romantic spot that's nice and original? An outdoor garden structure is a good bet for the perfect dating environment.

So how would you go about setting such a date up? It starts pretty much the same as any date. You would want to invite your date over around sunset and have dinner almost ready. While it's sometimes hard to judge the time of cooking, you'll probably want about twenty minutes to spare before the food is ready and done. That'll give you a bit of time to spend with your date but won't leave them waiting and getting hungry.

A great way to enjoy your garden structure is to invite your date into the backyard. Suggest a glass of wine, or have a small cheese plate ready to go, and head outside. The spontaneity will excite your date, and sitting in the fresh air as the sun is setting will certainly show your date you are a romantic. Add an extra bit of flair to your experience by lighting a couple candles and having a pair of chars waiting for you. Before dinner even begins you have set yourself apart as the best date this person knows. Plus with the cool evening air, the sunset, and candlelight the scene will be absolutely romantic!

If your time outside before dinner seemed to go well, don't be afraid to ask your date if they would like to enjoy their meal outdoors. Let your date relax outside and take in the surroundings while you gather plates and utensils to set up a fabulous dinner. A few minutes alone outside will allow your date to appreciate the setting and what you have provided for them that evening.

If you were planning your meal properly, you made something light so as to keep the feeling of the date the same. Once dinner is done, it's best to bring the dishes inside to avoid clutter on the table during desert. Your date, if he or she is worth keeping, will offer to help, but you shouldn't allow it. The next act is dessert, and if you're going for pure romance, it might be best to bring out one dessert and two forks. You and your date can share as the candles burn down low. Surrounded by such beautiful nature and with such wonderful planning, how can your date resist when you lean over for a kiss?

Dennis Goinich and his wife wanted a backyard paradise so they started with the Sacramento landscape architecture firm of Hall Design and started by looking at the online galleries of ideas for residential landscape architects. Hall Design took care of the whole process from design to contractor bids.
